About the position
The Certified Welder is a full-time Journeyman position at CCI Industrial Services, requiring candidates to pass specific welding tests. The role emphasizes safety and excellence in welding practices, supporting various industrial services across Alaska and the lower 48 states. The position involves working with different welding techniques and ensuring a safe work environment while adhering to CCI's mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment.
- Properly fit up steel components to be welded.
- Prepare welding surfaces as necessary.
- Weld using Stick, MIG, or TIG depending on the job.
- Clean or degrease welded joints or work pieces as required.
- Properly use and care for welding electrodes and equipment.
- Maintain 100% VTA and training requirements.
- Perform work in a safety-conscious manner.
- Inform supervisor of any incidents involving injury, spills, equipment malfunction, or damage.
- Supervise and mentor helpers when assigned.
- Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
- Report and address all potential safety concerns promptly.
- Assist others on special project needs when appropriate.
- Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, exercises, and drills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum three (3) years welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to pass CCI Welding test including 6G Pipe Test with 6010 and 7018.

- Familiarity with Greater Prudhoe Bay Facilities and Pipelines
