About the position
The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up and weld parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements.
- Assist with operation, assembly, and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strive to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- Experience with stainless and carbon steel as well as aluminum.
- Mig, tig, and flux core welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Mechanically inclined and production oriented.
- Safety and quality conscious.
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and straightedges.
