About the position

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and adhere to industry codes and standards. This role will be a hybrid role between Welder and Production Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to determine the root cause of problems.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts.
• Weld and fabricate metal structures as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to analyze equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repair processes.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques including stick welding and soldering.
• Execute pipe threading and ductwork installation as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all fabrication processes.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding, machining, and fabrication is essential.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication.
• Experience with sheet metal work is preferred.
• Ability to build custom rigs for specific projects is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
• Previous experience working with ductwork is advantageous.
