About the position
The Skilled Welder/Fabricator position involves performing various welding and fabrication tasks using MIG and TIG welding techniques on different materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass. The role requires proficiency in operating various metalworking equipment and the ability to interpret blueprints for custom fabrication projects. The ideal candidate is motivated, efficient, and capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper.
- Utilize shear, brake, iron worker, cold saw, and band saw equipment effectively.
- Accurately interpret and translate blueprints to fabricate custom furniture pieces, fixtures, railings, fences, and other metal fabrication projects.
- Adapt to different job requirements and execute tasks accordingly.
- Demonstrate a high aptitude and quick learning ability when faced with new projects.
- Ensure all work is performed with precision and meets quality standards.
- Maintain a fast pace while delivering quality products.
- Take pride in all work performed and uphold the visual appeal of the final products.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in MIG and TIG welding on various materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass.
- Proficiency in operating shear, brake, iron worker, cold saw, and band saw equipment.
- Ability to accurately interpret and translate blueprints.
- Experience in fabricating custom furniture pieces, fixtures, railings, fences, and miscellaneous metal fabrication projects.
- Versatile and adaptable to handle different job requirements.
