Welder/Fabricator

About the position

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team at Colonial Metal Works Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment and requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Fabricate and weld metal components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
• Utilize power tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
• Assemble and rig structures according to specifications
• Work with ductwork and follow schematics for assembly
• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repair
• Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication
• Ability to build, assemble, and weld metal structures accurately
• Proficiency in using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience in welding (Preferred)
• Ability to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
