About the position

The Welder Foreman at Bernhard, LLC is responsible for overseeing the field installation of assigned projects, ensuring quality control and safety compliance. This role involves managing field labor, coordinating project activities, and ensuring that installations meet the contracted scope. The Welder Foreman plays a crucial role in maintaining project schedules and budgets while fostering a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction for the field installation of assigned projects.
• Attend and contribute to various operations meetings.
• Read plans, coordinate layout, sketch, and perform materials take-off.
• Handle materials, tools, and equipment including ordering, receiving, placing, and returning.
• Confirm that construction drawings and specifications align with contract scope.
• Respond to General Contractor's requests regarding scope limits.
• Manage manpower loading and maintain a two-week look-ahead schedule.
• Perform time-keeping and other administrative duties such as daily reports and JSA's.
• Ensure implementation and effectiveness of safety and other company programs.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and quality control standards.
• Manage project budgets and schedules, meeting or exceeding deadlines while prioritizing safety.

Requirements

• Experience managing 2 or more crews of 2-3 workers each.
• Verifiable experience working on projects of $500K or more.
• Minimum of 3 years' craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
• Advanced knowledge of job assembly in the field.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with industry standards and competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
