About the position

The Welder/Hydraulic Cylinder Service Technician position is based in Quakertown, PA. This role involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the welding and assembly of hydraulic cylinders, as well as quality control and safety operations. The technician will be expected to perform welding tasks using various techniques and materials, disassemble and assemble hydraulic cylinders, and ensure that all work meets quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Welding components of hydraulic cylinders using MIG, FLUX CORE, STICK, and TIG techniques.
• Fabricating fixtures for complex assemblies when necessary.
• Inspecting and evaluating hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and hydraulic components.
• Measuring and evaluating tolerances based upon required specifications.
• Providing recommendations for repair and remanufacturing of hydraulic components.
• Disassembling cylinders and remanufacturing worn components.
• Honing hydraulic barrels and replacing worn or defective parts, seals, and components.
• Reassembling hydraulic cylinders and components with accuracy and precision.
• Testing for operation and determining the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintaining specifications by observing operations and taking accurate measurements.
• Observing all safety practices and maintaining equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
• Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs among work shifts.
