Wenger Corporation is seeking a Welder | Metal Fabricator responsible to operate various metal forming equipment and MIG weld while working under limited supervision within assigned areas in a manner, which meets or exceeds established quality and quantity standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate various metal forming equipment and MIG weld under limited supervision.
- Set up, adjust and operate a variety of metal fabrication equipment including MIG welders, press brake, shear, and forming machine.
- Determine materials required and follow sequence of tasks outlined on production orders.
- Manufacture products using engineering drawings and blueprints to meet product specifications.
- Complete thorough inspection of parts.
- Maintain equipment and environment to be clean and safe.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with tape measure, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- Reading text and documents, basic math, writing and oral communications within team environment.
- Problem solving, critical thinking, planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills.
- Ability to operate hand tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Light to moderate lifting.
Nice-to-haves
- Vocational/technical school welding certificate.
- 6 months of MIG welding experience.
