Welder

About the position

The Welder position at Aerotek in Binghamton, NY involves performing various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding. The role requires adherence to production work orders, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Welders will work both independently and as part of a team, with opportunities for rapid growth and advancement within a new battery power tech hub.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
• Follow production work orders and drawings.
• Conduct quality inspections.
• Work independently or in a team.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain welding equipment.
• Suggest improvements for production and quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in MIG/TIG welding.
• Experience with heavy steel and stainless steel.
• Blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in TIG, Flux core, and stainless steel welding.
• Manual dexterity and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to adapt and work independently or in a team.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or GED.
