About the position

Quality Plant Services, LLC is seeking to fill 75 welder positions in Ingleside, Texas. This is a temporary, full-time role focused on welding metal pipe and plate components for industrial applications. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines and the ability to work in various conditions, including high places and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal pipe and plate components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions according to project specifications.
• Set up, utilize, troubleshoot, and operate welding equipment including FCAW, RMD, GTAW, and SMAW processes.
• Lay out, fit, position, align, and secure parts and components prior to assembly using various tools.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to fit plate and pipe for welding.
• Weld with minimal defects as defined in ASME B31.3 standards.
• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety rules and guidelines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate welding processes and materials.

Requirements

• Must have 12 months of welder experience.
• Must pass a pre-hire drug test and medical physical.
• Must pass a written and functional test administered at the project worksite.
• Must be able to lift and/or move a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to climb and work in high places exceeding 200 feet and in confined spaces.

Benefits

• Compensation at $29.12/hour for 40 hours per week.
• Transportation paid for or provided from the worker's place of origin to the place of employment if 50% of the employment period is completed.
• Daily subsistence during travel compensated at a rate of at least $15.88 per day, up to $59.00 per day with receipts.
• Reimbursement of visa, border, and related fees for H-2B workers in the first work week.
