About the position

Cust-O-Fab, LLC is seeking experienced Welders for multiple shifts at their Sand Springs, OK location. The role requires safety-minded individuals who are highly productive and skilled in welding various components of heat exchangers, vessels, and towers. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in welding processes and a strong commitment to quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fit, and tack weld all parts of heat exchangers, vessels, and towers.
• Maintain a safety-oriented work environment.
• Pass weld qualifications for various welding processes.
• Read and interpret prints for specifications and dimensions.
• Weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR.
• Perform arc gouging as needed.
• Fix X-Ray and UT repairs efficiently.
• Recognize and rectify sub-standard welds to ensure product quality.
• Be punctual and dependable, willing to work outside standard hours when necessary.
• Assist with basic tasks such as cylinder fit-ups when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components.
• Extensive knowledge of welding with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW thermal processes.
• Ability to pass a weld qualification for each process.
• Ability to read prints for specifications and dimensions.
• Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR.
• Ability to be proficient in arc gouging process.
• Self-motivated and highly productive with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate.
• Ability to recognize and rectify sub-standard welds.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Stick welding, Sub Arc Welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and Flux Core Welding (5 years preferred for each).
• Experience with Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger and Pressure Vessel (5 years preferred).
