About the position
We are seeking two skilled welders/fabricators to join our team in Gadsden, Alabama. The ideal candidates will have experience in hardwire, flux-core, and some aluminum welding. We are particularly interested in individuals who are true fabricators with fitting and welding experience. However, we are also open to considering candidates who have only welding experience for one of the positions, while a fitter will be considered for the other role. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, lasting for a duration of six months, and requires full-time on-site work in a fabrication shop environment. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, consisting of approximately 100 employees who design, manufacture, and install engineered conveyor systems for customers worldwide. The facility is clean but not climate-controlled, and employees are expected to wear steel toe boots while on the job. No specific certifications or medical tests are required for this position, making it accessible for candidates with varying levels of experience in welding and fabrication. This role offers a chance to work closely with a team of professionals in a supportive and engaging atmosphere, contributing to the production of high-quality conveyor systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute welding projects.
