About the position

We are currently hiring for Welders to join our team in Warner Robins, Georgia. As a Welder, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques. This role requires you to interpret blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine the appropriate welding process. You will also be tasked with inspecting completed welds to ensure their structural soundness, which is critical for maintaining the quality and safety of our projects. In this position, you will be expected to use safety equipment as instructed and follow all safety regulations and company policies. Setting up, fitting, and welding to perform the direct functions of the department will be a key part of your daily responsibilities. You will need to follow both written and verbal instructions to assemble units that meet our company’s quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for detecting and reporting any faulty operations, materials, and working conditions to your supervisor. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, along with keeping your equipment and tools in good condition, is also essential to your role. This position operates on a schedule from 4:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a structured work environment that allows for consistent productivity and focus on quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Use safety equipment as instructed and follow safety regulations and company policies.
  • Set up, fit, and weld to perform the direct function of the department.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to assemble units meeting company quality standards.
  • Detect and report faulty operations, materials, and working conditions to supervisor.
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in clean orderly condition.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder.
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.).
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
  • Deftness and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to use math and various measuring devices in interpreting and following written instructions and engineering drawings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
