As a Production Welder/Fabricator for Product Company Indiana, you will play a crucial role in supporting operational staff and ensuring that welding and fabrication concerns are addressed effectively. Your primary focus will be on meeting customer requirements regarding product operation and completion. You will collaborate with various teams within the Product Company to enhance the quality standards defined for each assembly by performing operational welds, which are essential to our end customers' specifications. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of welding tasks, including 1G, 6G, MIG, TIG, and Arc welding on metal components and structures. You will work in different positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead, adhering to project specifications and quality standards. Additionally, you will prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and shaping metal using various tools and machinery to ensure proper fit and alignment. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will need to determine the welding specifications and requirements for each project. Your duties will also include fabricating parts according to specifications, inspecting welds for accuracy and quality, and making necessary adjustments or repairs to meet project requirements. This is vital for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 certification. Safety is paramount in this role, and you will be expected to follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. You will also be responsible for maintaining and cleaning welding equipment and tools to ensure their proper functioning. Collaboration with project managers, supervisors, and other team members will be essential to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines. Completing relevant training and certification in test cell functions, organizing training and educational manuals for the production test cell team, and writing reports and completing required paperwork will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, having forklift experience and IT skills, particularly in using test cell electrical components, will be beneficial in this role.
