About the position
The Welder position at Aerotek involves primarily MIG welding aluminum feed trailers. The role requires physical activity, including climbing into bins and standing while welding, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints for accurate measurements and weld placements.
Responsibilities
- MIG welding aluminum feed trailers.
- Climbing into bins and welding aluminum parts together.
- Standing and welding, and tacking parts of trailers using .035 wire.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine welds, measurements, and positions.
Requirements
- 6+ months of MIG welding experience.
- 1+ years of on-the-job welding experience.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- 6+ months of welding steel or aluminum.
- Ability to climb into trailers.
