About the position

The Welder position at Aerotek involves working with various materials and prints to perform MIG welding tasks. Welders will receive training for the first week or two and will gradually take on more projects and responsibilities as they gain experience. This role requires collaboration with shift leads, supervisors, and co-workers to ensure quality welding of parts and materials.

Responsibilities

• Follow prints and specifications to weld various parts and materials together.
• Complete a weld test involving a 3/8 groove weld in a horizontal position using GMAW spray transfer.
• Work collaboratively with shift leads and supervisors to complete projects.
• Take on additional projects and responsibilities as skills develop.

Requirements

• Experience with MIG welding, specifically with carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret welding prints and specifications.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with different welding techniques and materials.
