About the position
The Welder position at Chart Industries is a temporary contract role focused on various welding tasks, including carbon and stainless-steel structure tube welding, instrumentation tubing, and aluminum/stainless pipe welding. The position requires skilled welders to perform precise welding techniques in challenging positions, ensuring high-quality work in compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform carbon and stainless-steel structure tube welding using the FCAW process.
- Execute fillet welds on 1/2" diameter instrumentation lines using the GTAW process.
- Conduct aluminum and stainless closing welds on site for pipes ranging from 2" to 20" in diameter.
- Pass ASME IX code test to validate welding skills.
Requirements
- High school technical welding program or equivalent education.
- 3-5 years minimum experience as a welder.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
