About the position

Join us at Lincoln Tech in Columbia, MD, where experienced Welders are encouraged to step into instructor roles in our Welding program. This position is designed for individuals with a passion for welding who wish to educate and inspire the next generation of welders. Teaching experience is not necessary, as we provide comprehensive training to prepare you for the role. Your expertise in welding will qualify you to contribute significantly to welding education and share your knowledge with aspiring professionals. As a Welding Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech's accredited training program. You will provide hands-on welding training for student skill development in our fully equipped facility. Your role will involve encouraging student growth, professionalism, and accountability while motivating and engaging the class in a positive setting. You will also support and communicate progress with students, preparing them for a successful in-demand career in Welding Technology. Responsibilities

  • Teach Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech's accredited training program
  • Provide hands-on Welding training for student skill development in our fully equipped facility
  • Encourage student growth, professionalism, and accountability

  • Support and communicate progress with students
  • Prepare students for a successful in-demand career in Welding Technology

Requirements

  • 3+ years of field experience in Pipe Welding / Structural Welding
  • Proficient in GMAW - MIG, GTAW - TIG, SMAW - Stick, FCAW - Flux-cored arc, and Plasma Cutting
  • Great communication skills
  • Proficient with technology
  • High school diploma/GED
