About the position

Tri-County Technical College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Welding Lecturer to join its Engineering and Industrial Technology division. The role involves teaching MIG, TIG, and Stick welding courses, maintaining student records, evaluating student performance, and participating in professional development. The successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative educational environment and support student success through effective teaching and advising.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lab and lecture courses related to MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.
  • Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance.
  • Evaluate student achievement and assign grades for the assigned classes.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain teaching competency.
  • Serve as intake advisor during peak periods, providing admissions, career, and academic counseling.
  • Teach assigned courses and manage intake advising hours during summer enrollment.

Requirements

  • 5 years of welding work experience with current welding certifications OR training/education in welding and 3 years of welding work experience with current welding certifications.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in welding with 3 years of related industrial experience and current welding certifications.
