About the position

Tri-County Technical College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Welding Lecturer to join its Engineering and Industrial Technology division. The role involves teaching MIG, TIG, and Stick welding courses, maintaining student records, and evaluating student performance. The successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative educational environment and participate in professional development opportunities. Lecturers will also serve as intake advisors during peak periods, providing admissions and academic counseling to prospective and continuing students.

Responsibilities

• Teach lab and lecture courses related to MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.
• Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance.
• Evaluate student achievement and assign grades for the assigned classes.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain teaching competency.
• Serve as intake advisors during peak periods, providing admissions and academic counseling.

Requirements

• 5 years of welding work experience with previous or current welding certifications OR training/education in welding and 3 years of welding work experience with previous or current welding certifications.
• Preferred: Associate degree in welding with 3 years related industrial experience along with previous or current welding certifications.
