About the position

The Wellness Director at Oaks Senior Living is a full-time management role responsible for overseeing the care of residents, supervising staff, and providing training. The Wellness Director ensures compliance with health regulations, promotes resident wellness, and fosters a supportive work environment for staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the care and well-being of residents in accordance with health regulations.
• Supervise and mentor resident care employees, ensuring high standards of care.
• Conduct regular visits and assessments of residents to monitor their health and wellness.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules to meet the needs of residents.
• Provide training and support to caregivers to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
• Maintain open communication with staff to address workplace issues and concerns.
• Assist the Executive Director in maintaining operational standards.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Current valid Georgia LPN or RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• At least one year of experience working with residents in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to serve on an on-call rotation.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
• Supervisory experience in healthcare is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in assisted living settings (2 years preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with seniors.
• Ability to react quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
