About the position

The Wellness Director is responsible for overseeing the provision of quality nursing care at Hyatt Family Facilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating nursing services, and participating in quality assurance processes to enhance resident care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the coordination and execution of facility nursing services, monitoring and evaluating nursing care outcomes.
• Manage all nursing and related staff, conducting performance reviews and necessary disciplinary actions.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to patient care, ensuring adequate nursing coverage and documentation.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance process and lead quality improvement programs.
• Provide ongoing training to nursing staff to ensure quality care and assessments are met.
• Develop and implement an organized nursing system for care delivery, coordinating with other departments.
• Ensure nursing-related expenses and staff scheduling adhere to facility budgets.
• Prepare for and oversee federal and state inspections, executing corrective plans when necessary.

Requirements

• Valid RN License from an accredited nursing school.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Five years of responsible nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Three years of experience in a management position.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent management skills or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
