About the position

Health Promotion and Wellness, a unit within Student Affairs at Penn State University, is seeking a part-time Wellness Programmer to conduct wellness-related workshops and educational programs during the 2024/2025 academic year. This position may extend into subsequent semesters, providing an opportunity for ongoing engagement with the university community. The commitment for this role will be a maximum of 10 hours per week, allowing for flexibility while contributing to the health and wellness of students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching mindfulness meditation and utilizing contemplative practices for stress management. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about building self-awareness and community among students. The Wellness Programmer will be responsible for developing new programming tailored to the needs of undergraduate and graduate students, ensuring that the content is relevant and engaging. Additionally, the programmer will deliver these programs to various student organizations, academic classes, and other groups, fostering a culture of wellness and support within the university environment.
