About the position

The General Manager at Wendy's is responsible for leading a single restaurant, driving sales, achieving performance goals, and developing teams while ensuring operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage various aspects of the restaurant's operations, including compliance with quality standards and cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the restaurant management team to meet sales and budget goals.
  • Monitor tasks performed by employees to ensure compliance with Quality, Service, & Cleanliness programs.
  • Ensure proper training and compliance among staff.
  • Manage food, labor, and paper costs as well as other controllable expenses.
  • Make decisions regarding the hiring and termination of employees.
  • Attend meetings requested by the District Manager or Area Director.
  • Develop restaurant operation skills and grow within the organization.

Requirements

  • 7 years of hospitality experience.
  • 6 years of customer service experience.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in quick service restaurants.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Restaurant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within the quick service restaurant industry.
  • Ability to perform all duties of restaurant staff.
