About the position

The Direct Sales Representative at West Town Payments is responsible for generating sales opportunities and developing business relationships to support the growth of merchant processing solutions. This role involves collaborating with internal bank divisions, presenting solutions to prospective clients, and managing client relationships to drive long-term success. The position is remote and requires a strong focus on customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal bank divisions to identify and pursue merchant service opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to encourage consistent lead generation and referrals.
  • Present and sell West Town Payments merchant processing solutions to prospective clients, including negotiating pricing and submitting underwriting documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between prospects and internal teams to ensure tailored payment solutions meet client needs.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and cost analyses to close sales effectively and build trust with clients.
  • Partner with Treasury Management to cross-sell deposit relationships and increase overall bank deposits.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet sales goals, grow the merchant portfolio, and expand market share.
  • Stay informed about competitive trends, market pricing, and industry developments to effectively position offerings.
  • Use CRM tools to manage leads, analyze sales data, and provide progress updates to leadership.
  • Provide feedback to marketing teams to enhance sales materials and refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field required; BA or BS in a relevant field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and prior sales experience required.
  • Proven history of behavioral and performance-based excellence, consistently exceeding targets and expectations.
  • Strong work ethic with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance requirements.
  • Motivated by achievement and results, with a track record of proactive problem-solving and initiative-taking.
  • Ability to thrive under minimal supervision and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
