About the position

Westman Atelier is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to develop and execute print and visual merchandising design assets for retail and marketing applications. This role is integral to the Store Design and Visual Merchandising team, contributing to the brand's visual identity through compelling and on-brand creative work. The designer will work on various projects, from evergreen campaigns to new product launches, ensuring high standards of execution and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Transform campaign concepts into visual executions, including visual merchandising updates and marketing materials.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop creative concepts aligned with brand objectives.
• Own projects from concept to execution under the guidance of the Design Director.
• Review work with the Store Design and Visual Merchandising team and incorporate feedback into final assets.
• Ensure all projects are executed with quality and adherence to timelines.
• Optimize designed assets to meet brand guidelines and industry best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends in graphic design and typography.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
• 1-3 years of graphic design experience in retail and/or DTC brand space, preferably in beauty.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with a strong understanding of graphic design principles and print production.
• Strong conceptual thinker with a background in print design; understanding of digital best practices is a plus.
• Strong communicator with the ability to prioritize and manage work while adhering to timelines.
• Ability to own a project from start to finish, working autonomously while welcoming feedback and collaboration.
• Passionate about branding, storytelling, and producing engaging content that adheres to brand guidelines.
• A portfolio with strong work examples.
