About the position
The Wet Process Technician role at Actalent involves conducting microbiological, analytical, and sensory testing of environmental samples, finished products, and intermediate materials to ensure compliance with release criteria. This position is integral to the Microbial Daily Management program, which includes daily sampling and testing of converting lines and ancillary equipment.
Responsibilities
- Understand and assist with the implementation of quality systems and any new systems or validations.
- Conduct incoming material identification testing of raw or intermediate materials.
- Perform daily Microbiological, Analytical, and Odor labs.
- Aseptically process Raw, Intermediate, and Finished Products samples for applicable microbial tests.
- Read microbial test results and perform selective or differential tests as needed.
- Complete data reviews and release of formulations for production.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate equipment, such as pH meters, FTIR UV/VIS spectrophotometers, and HPLC.
- Assist with training and qualification of new QC Technicians.
- Lead investigations of corrective actions or out of specification results.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
