About the position

YES (Yield Engineering Systems, Inc.) is seeking a Wet Process Technician to join our Arizona Technology Center (YATC). This role is crucial for supporting process demonstration activities tailored to our customers' specific application development needs. The technician will be responsible for the upkeep of demo equipment and metrology tools, ensuring that our state-of-the-art Wet Process Lab operates efficiently and effectively. The position requires close collaboration with various teams, including Facilities, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), and Operations, to maintain a safe and productive working environment. The Wet Process Technician will work closely with Process Engineers and Field Service Engineers to facilitate virtual line production activities and product demonstrations. This includes preparing for customer site installations and defining expectations for both wet and dry process requirements. The technician will coordinate with the Process and Manufacturing/Operations teams to ensure that lab equipment and metrology tools are well-maintained and operational. Additionally, the role involves performing process demonstrations and managing customer sample logistics, which are essential for showcasing our technology to clients. A key aspect of this position is the ability to repair or modify equipment and process recipes in consultation with Process and Equipment Engineers. The technician must possess strong communication skills to interact professionally with internal teams and customers, demonstrating the ability to work independently while adhering to company safety policies. The role may also require emergency after-hours activities, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and swing shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support process demonstration activities for customer-specific application development.
  • Maintain demo equipment and metrology tools in the Wet Process Lab.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers for virtual line production activities.
  • Assist Field Service Engineers with product demonstrations and customer site installation preparations.
  • Define expectations for wet and dry process requirements with relevant teams.
  • Coordinate with Process and Manufacturing/Operations teams for lab equipment upkeep.
  • Ensure safety and compliance during virtual line and process development activities with Facilities, EHS, and Operations teams.
  • Perform process demonstrations and manage customer sample logistics.
  • Repair or modify equipment and process recipes in consultation with Process/Equipment Engineers.

Requirements

  • High School degree with 5+ years of technical experience or an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • 5+ years' experience in the semiconductor field or other capital equipment arena.
  • Good understanding of electro/mechanical aspects of semiconductor equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills for both external and internal customers.
  • Ability to develop action plans for problem resolution and present them to customers.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to complete assignments effectively in demanding environments.
  • Experience working in semiconductor FABs is preferred.
  • Strong ethical standards and good judgment.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel to global customers and partner locations.
