About the position

The WGLT Student Visual Journalist is responsible for creating visual content for WGLT.org, the station's social media, and promotional materials. This role involves working closely with the Newsroom under the supervision of the WGLT Digital Content Director and the Digital Producer, focusing on photo and video work, including shooting, editing, and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Create visual content for WGLT.org and social media platforms.
• Shoot and edit photos and videos as assigned.
• Distribute visual content under supervision.
• Collaborate with the Newsroom team to ensure quality and relevance of content.

Requirements

• Experience with video production and editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
• Ability to communicate effectively on a daily basis.

Nice-to-haves

• Comparable experience in visual journalism or media production.
