Wheelchair/Scooter Field Service Technician

About the position

Mobility City is seeking a Technician to provide repair and maintenance services for mobility equipment, including wheelchairs, scooters, and hospital beds. This hybrid role involves both mobile service and in-store customer interaction, ensuring that clients receive the necessary support and products tailored to their needs. The Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment while establishing relationships with customers and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain mobility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Deliver, set up, demo products, and train customers on their use.
• Establish ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify necessary parts for repairs and maintain inventory stock.
• Complete job orders documenting work in detail.
• Travel to customer locations using the company vehicle.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.

Requirements

• Mechanical skills and knowledge of electronics troubleshooting.
• Current driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in HVAC, auto mechanics, industrial maintenance, or commercial appliance maintenance.
