About the position

The Wholesale Business Execution Lead is responsible for overseeing the intake, prioritization, planning, execution, and change management of initiatives across Wholesale at Truist Bank. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives and managing risk-adjacent activities. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide a team of consultants and to develop comprehensive reporting on initiative execution, while also fostering relationships across lines of business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a holistic, consistent portfolio intake process across Wholesale, ensuring prioritization and resource allocation in alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Manage a team of consultants to plan, execute, and deliver against the defined portfolio of work, driving efficiency and value creation.
  • Create comprehensive reporting to track initiative execution, including roadmap, status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Develop industry knowledge and trends, utilizing optimization levers such as third parties and process optimization.
  • Coordinate with technology and operations partners to consider stakeholder feedback in investments and dependencies.
  • Partner with risk, technology, and other enterprise functions to meet Risk Program expectations during strategic execution.
  • Develop a Wholesale-wide approach to monitor and remediate documented findings and issues.
  • Represent Wholesale on enterprise-wide strategic projects, providing leadership as a subject matter expert.
  • Guide and mentor less tenured teammates, ensuring value-added execution support for LOB leaders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Wholesale leadership, providing vision and expertise for initiative execution.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic execution, change management, risk, or operations.
  • Understanding of Wholesale Banking fundamentals, including product capabilities and internal processes.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a strategic business focus.
  • Ability to drive connectivity and value generation across teams.
  • Exemplary risk management leadership to ensure a strong risk culture.
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships and execute growth initiatives across various business lines.
  • Experience fostering strong partnerships and promoting teamwork.
  • Ability to articulate issues and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to manage competing projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Passion for results and personal accountability for achievement.
  • Ability to operate in a complex and matrixed environment.
