About the position

The Wholesale Digital Authentication Product Manager is a senior-level position that plays a crucial role in balancing business, technology, and design priorities to deliver exceptional product and service experiences. This role requires a strategic mindset to develop and maintain a delivery roadmap that aligns with business goals while also being tactical in analyzing data and solving problems. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with the Product Owner to translate the overarching vision into actionable epics and features that the Agile delivery team can prioritize. This position is pivotal in monitoring and driving business performance across various aspects, including demand, customer experience, and conversion rates. As a thought leader within the team, the Senior Product Manager will conduct in-depth research and analysis to understand target client segments and their financial needs. They will also stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes to define a differentiated product vision that delivers unique value. The role involves extensive collaboration with various stakeholders, including lines of business and operations, to ensure alignment on strategy and execution of projects. The Product Manager will be responsible for writing epics and features, setting planning increment visions, and developing a feature backlog roadmap that includes high-level deliverables such as prototypes, usability studies, and web analytics planning. Additionally, the Product Manager will be tasked with risk management, ensuring compliance with Product Management Lifecycle processes, and leading risk presentations. They will also mentor other Product Managers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the product management discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and learn about a target client segment to understand their financial needs.
  • Be an expert on competition, industry trends, and changing customer needs, demonstrating thought leadership.
  • Analyze the market and competitive environment to define a differentiated product vision.
  • Collaborate with partners to align on strategy and develop a delivery roadmap that supports business goals.
  • Engage key stakeholders in the planning and execution of projects.
  • Write epics and features in support of the defined roadmap, prioritizing across teams.
  • Set Planning Increment (PI) vision, priority, and definition, partnering with product owners.
  • Develop feature backlog roadmap, leading high-level deliverables including discovery and usability studies.
  • Obtain partner alignment and approvals including legal, compliance, and security.
  • Partner to set pricing and ensure billing processes are followed.
  • Create and track product metrics to inform strategy and roadmap.
  • Work with Readiness to create client and teammate facing content.
  • Ensure all Product Management Lifecycle processes are followed and lead risk presentations.
  • Attend Agile ceremonies as applicable.
  • Mentor other Product Managers on product management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; or equivalent experience.
  • Ten or more years of banking, financial services, or relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of product, analysis, technology, and/or design experience.
  • Five or more years of leading cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience working as a Product Manager.
  • Equal enthusiasm for high-level strategic planning and tactical execution.
  • Experience defining/driving vision of experience programs and/or partnership-based programs.
  • Experience defining and delivering large-scale online initiatives.
  • Proven ability to use data analytics and research to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Comfortable managing concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent skills in presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation.
  • Experience with treasury management systems and client-facing web/mobile systems.
  • Experience with design and implementation of authentication/access management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; banking or financial management education.
  • Experience working with distributed teams (onshore/offshore).
  • Certified SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (or equivalent).
