About the position

The Wholesale Marketing Manager at Rhythm will lead marketing initiatives in North America, focusing on trade marketing strategies that reflect the brand's lifestyle and values. This full-time role requires collaboration with sales, creative teams, and external partners to achieve global brand objectives, while being based in Irvine, California.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and enhance brand visibility by spearheading the development and execution of effective wholesale marketing strategies.
  • Allocate efforts and resources across brand programs to ensure alignment with our overall global brand strategy, optimizing impact and efficiency.
  • Facilitate the timely and budget-conscious implementation of marketing initiatives, including retailer partner promotions, brand events, tradeshows, and local content requirements.
  • Oversee and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies that identify target markets and outline marketing tactics, ensuring successful launches of collections and products.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends while maintaining a deep understanding of our audience and the surf and coastal lifestyle culture to inform marketing decisions.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Develop and implement creative marketing strategies focused on fostering long-term relationships with retailers and suppliers, driving brand growth.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, providing monthly targets and detailed reports to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the surf apparel industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with budget management, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Creative, with the ability to bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Experience with Shopify, email marketing platforms, B2B platforms, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Willing to travel domestically on an as needed basis.
  • Passion for surf culture and a deep understanding of the coastal lifestyle.
