The WIC CPA In-Training is responsible for evaluating nutritional and certifying participants are eligible for the WIC program. Also, they will refer participants to other services and educating participants about their dietary choices. CPA's are responsible for assessing participants, performing lab procedures, verifying weight, taking measurements and making arrangements to interview patients to determine appropriate food supplements. This is a training position. Initially, you will be hired as a WIC Worker to learn the front desk responsibilities and functions. Once you have gained this experience, you will begin the training process to be become a CPA. Successful completion of the certification and training process is required to become a fully certified WIC CPA. This is a great opportunity to gain a deep understanding of WIC operations and develop professionally. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with weekends and most major holidays off. The starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with an increase once certified. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bilingual fluent in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • WIC CPA State Certification or ability to become certified.
  • Maintain 12 hours of continuing education per year once certified.
  • Attend and complete trainings as required by the State of Nevada and WIC Administration.
