About The Position

As a WIC Nutritionist at Montefiore Medical Group, you will provide essential nutrition education, counseling, and support to women, infants, and children in the community. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Science or Nutrition related
• Certification of WIC in accordance with USDA regulations

Responsibilities

• Provides nutrition information and services to women and children enrolled in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program.
• Assess nutritional needs and develops nutritional care plans and education for participants.
• Provides breastfeeding support and appropriate follow-up for high-risk participants.
• Clerical functions including verification and documentation of program eligibility requirements and eWIC benefits.
