The Editor position is situated within WIDA's Communications and Marketing department and is designed to enhance the quality and accessibility of internal and external communications. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Communications, the Editor will play a pivotal role in reviewing and editing a variety of materials, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and compliance with editorial guidelines. This role involves close collaboration with graphic design teams to create optimal layouts that enhance the usability of WIDA publications. Additionally, the Editor will manage the translation of communications and publications as necessary, ensuring that all materials are accessible to a diverse audience. A significant aspect of this position is the responsibility for auditing and remediating documents to ensure they comply with accessibility guidelines. The Editor will work collaboratively across teams and the organization to support accessibility efforts, which includes editing both internal and external communications. The position offers the flexibility of working fully remote within the United States, although international remote work is not permitted. Any requests for remote work will be subject to review based on the University of Wisconsin and School of Education remote work policies.
