About the position

The Wide Area Network (WAN) Network Integration Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software-defined networking solutions. This role involves providing expert-level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology, contributing to the planning and implementation of WAN routing and networking solutions, and developing technical documentation. The position requires collaboration within a team to evolve complex technology systems with advanced solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software-defined networking solutions.
  • Perform systems engineering services in all phases of a project life cycle.
  • Develop and maintain technical system documentation related to system configuration, troubleshooting, and traceability.
  • Provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology.
  • Provide technical leadership within a team in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of WAN solutions.
  • Develop SDN solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancements.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as needed.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • A Department of Defense (DoD) 'Top Secret' level Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to hire date.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science required.
  • IAT Level II Baseline Certification such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
  • Network operating environment certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and other Cisco SDN components.
  • Proficiency in network security principles and access control policies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience engineering solutions for Cisco technologies.
  • Experience in engineering and administering WAN solutions.
  • Experience in Quality of Service (QoS) technology engineering.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced, team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting the engineering of DOD Afloat Network Systems such as CANES, ADNS, ISNS, CENTRIXS, SCI Networks, SUBLAN, and/or COMPOSE.
  • Relevant SDN certification.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
