About the position

The HR Talent Acquisition Specialist at Olin's Winchester location in Independence, MO, plays a crucial role in the full talent acquisition cycle. This position is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and offering candidates for key roles within the organization. The specialist will work closely with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and hiring managers to ensure that the best talent is identified and engaged throughout the recruitment process. A significant focus of this role is to create a positive candidate experience, which is essential for attracting top talent to the company. In addition to managing the recruiting lifecycle, the specialist will build and maintain qualified and diverse candidate pipelines, ensuring long-term engagement with potential candidates. The role also involves maintaining the applicant tracking system and job files accurately and in a timely manner. The specialist will be responsible for the Affirmative Action data roll-up for external hires and internal competitive moves within assigned areas. Collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team for on-campus recruiting efforts and managing intern/co-op processes is also a key responsibility of this position. This role is aligned with the Corporate Talent Acquisition and Compliance team and supports Olin's Winchester locations. The specialist will be expected to travel up to 25% of the time based on their home location and must possess a valid US driver's license. The position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for up to one day of remote work per week, providing flexibility in the work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HRBPs and hiring managers to source and fill key roles with top talent.
  • Oversee the entire recruiting lifecycle with a focus on creating a positive candidate experience.
  • Build qualified and diverse candidate pipelines with a focus on long-term engagement.
  • Ensure the applicant tracking system and job files are maintained correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for Affirmative Action data roll-up for external hires and internal competitive moves for assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team for on-campus recruiting efforts and manage assigned area intern/co-op processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Organizational Development/Management, Employment Law, or a Business-related discipline strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of related human resources generalist or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment strongly preferred.
  • Work experience with an OFCCP regulated employer and/or in-depth knowledge of OFCCP regulations strongly preferred.
  • Excellent client relationship skills with the ability to forge strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and multi-task efficiently.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time based on home location and possess a valid US driver's license.
