About the position

The Windchill Lead Solution Analyst at Newell Brands is a key member of the Engineering IT team, responsible for managing and optimizing the Windchill Product Development platform. This role involves configuring the system, promoting best practices, and providing tier 2 support to end users. The analyst will work collaboratively with the team to analyze requirements, conduct testing, and ensure that development stories are delivered using agile methodologies and test-driven development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure deliverables are on scope and on time.
  • Critically analyze requirements for feasibility and technical supportability.
  • Create development stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Create/update system test cases; conduct unit & integration testing to ensure the defined functionality meets business requirements.
  • Define best practices, training documentation, and deliver training for managing product data with Windchill PDMLink and FlexPLM.
  • Participate in joint planning sessions, provide input, and work estimates for design, build, and testing.
  • Participate in build reviews and execute cutover steps as assigned.
  • Execute data updates using Windchill load from file framework.
  • Create, test, and deploy Windchill configurations.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of Windchill PDMLink or FlexPLM administration and configuration experience.
  • 3 or more years writing use cases, functional specifications, and Windchill configuration documentation.
  • 3 or more years using an IT Ticketing Service tool, with Service Now experience being a plus.
  • Experience managing users through system changes and transforming user concerns into story/requirement documentation for the development team.
  • Experience delivering a Windchill system upgrade major release, e.g., Windchill 11 to Windchill 12.
  • Comfortable with Agile development methodologies and systems for tracking sprint progress, e.g., JIRA.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Windchill Query Builder and PowerBI.
  • Competent skills with MS Office applications and graphic design, Photoshop is desirable.
