About the position

Mastech is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking a Windows Mobile Developer for our client in the IT Services domain. This position is crucial as it involves developing applications for Windows 8 tablet devices, focusing on creating modern GUI applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in Windows Mobile environments, and will be expected to contribute to the design and implementation of complex applications. The role requires a deep understanding of the .Net Framework and proficiency in programming languages such as C# and C++. The Windows Mobile Developer will work closely with other team members to ensure that the applications meet the required specifications and are delivered on time. This is a contract position with a duration of 12 months, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately. The position is based in Denver, CO, and local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications for Windows 8 tablet devices.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement complex applications.
• Utilize the .Net Framework and programming languages such as C# and C++ for application development.
• Implement modern GUI applications with a focus on user experience.
• Participate in Agile methodology practices and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.
• Manage source code version control and release builds using tools like Visual Studio and Perforce.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of the .Net Framework, C#, C++, and C++ with component extensions.
• Experience with Win8 and developing complex applications for Windows 8 tablet devices.
• Proficient in Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture.
• Familiarity with STL and Boost libraries.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and collaborative tools like Jira and Confluence.
