About the position
The Windows Server Administrator role involves providing system administration for VMware-based virtual servers on CENTRIXS networks, specifically supporting NIWC PAC in Pearl City, HI. The candidate will be part of a small team responsible for maintaining both ashore and afloat networks in the Pacific AOR, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on Windows Servers
- Review log files for errors
- Troubleshoot performance issues and validate configuration parameters across the deployed system
- Manage Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) compliance
- Adhere to Communications Task Orders (CTOs)
- Meet Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) requirements
- Troubleshoot Host Based Security System (HBSS) and validate Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Windows systems
- Experience with Windows VM environment
- Certifications (IAT Level II) such as Security+ CE, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), or System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
