About the position

The Windows System Administrator at GCyber will support the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) by maintaining and upgrading hardware, software, and operating systems in a Microsoft Windows Server Environment. This role is critical in transforming the Secure Web Services (SWS) environment to enhance security information sharing for the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence communities. The position requires full-time onsite work due to the sensitive nature of the tasks involved.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades to hardware, software, and operating systems in a Microsoft Windows Server Environment.
• Monitor health, performance, capacity, and availability of systems.
• Ensure systems remain patched and compliant at all times.
• Assist in testing and deployment of new systems and services.
• Provide support for storage and encrypted file storage capabilities.
• Provide O&M support for server and desktop-based software applications.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance, with the ability to obtain a CI/Poly in the future.
• BS and 4+ years of overall related experience with a Windows servers environment (e.g. 2008r2 and 2012r2).
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification (i.e., Security+, CySA+, CCNA-Security, CND, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
• Experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining VMware environments.
• Experience with Remote Desktop Services.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and experience in other languages like Python.
• Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
• Familiarity with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
• Experience with Group Policy Management (GPO) and applying Local Security Policies.
• Knowledge of Windows Task Scheduler.
• Experience managing Active Directory.
• Experience with system (hardware) and applications (software) installation and configuration.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with DISA and DISA's support to mission partners.
