About the position

SAIC is seeking a Windows System Administrator to serve as the primary technical resource for Windows Systems Administration at Corry Station, Pensacola, FL. This role involves managing the architectural, engineering, and administration of Windows infrastructure, participating in change processes, and responding to incidents. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Windows Server environments, troubleshooting issues, and automating system configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Test upgrades and patches for Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Windows systems, including metrics collection and task management in ServiceNow.
  • Install and configure new Windows server and desktop solutions, including software installation and user training.
  • Program in administrative languages such as PowerShell and VMWare CLI.
  • Write and deploy PowerShell scripts for data collection, software deployment, and remediation actions.
  • Resolve interoperability issues across platforms.
  • Automate system configurations to meet specifications.
  • Review and advise on hardware and software acquisitions to support mission needs.
  • Perform routine and non-routine tasks related to Cyber/Information Security and Information Assurance support.
  • Assist with DISA STIG checklist completion and update ATO artifacts.
  • Conduct systems analysis and development to adapt to changing technologies and security needs.
  • Coordinate with engineering management and senior customer personnel on cross-organizational matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • System administration experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 10/11.
  • Experience reviewing ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans and remediating vulnerabilities on Windows systems.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Active Security+ certification is required.
  • Ability to obtain Microsoft 365 Certification: Endpoint Administrator Associate within six months of hire.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of DISA STIG security configurations.
  • Familiarity with automated security compliance tools like eMASSter and EVAL-STIG.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for configuration automation.
  • Managing virtual server infrastructure with VMware vSphere.
  • Configuring and managing switches and routers (Cisco or Brocade/Ruckus).
  • Experience with data backup/restoral using VEEAM.
