About the position

The Enterprise Operations (EO) position at Lockheed Martin Space is focused on supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, specifically within a classified environment. The role involves system administration tasks, including upgrades, operations, maintenance, and service requests for various hardware and software components. The selected candidate will work primarily with Windows systems and will be responsible for ensuring continuity of operations through effective backup and restore capabilities. This position is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA, and operates on a 4x10 schedule, providing flexibility with Fridays off, although some off-shift and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform upgrades, operations, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Handle hardware and software installations and service requests for servers, workstations, containers, networking, and storage.
  • Ensure continuity of operations through backups and verified restore capabilities.
  • Provide primary IT support in a classified environment, focusing on Windows systems.
  • Utilize system administration skills to manage and support IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • DOD Secret security clearance with 5-year adjudication.
  • Experience with Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD).
  • Experience with STiGs and system patching.
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management).
  • Experience with software application installation.
  • US Citizenship required at this facility.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain Security + certification within 60 days.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience performing root cause analysis for problem resolution in Windows environments.
  • Experience analyzing and assessing server performance and storage capacity.
  • Experience performing routine server/workstation patching per guidelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting.
  • Creating/editing Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation.
  • Experience successfully installing server and associated hardware.
  • Experience installing/configuring software applications and programs.
  • Integrations of Windows environments.
  • Provide support to satellite test and operations groups requiring off-shift and possible travel.
  • Experience providing IT support in a multi-functional environment.
