About the position

The Windows Systems Administrator position at Integrated Computer Solutions (ICS) involves supporting the functionality and efficiency of multiple operating systems within the National Military Command Center (NMCC) Command and Control System (NCCS) Operating Environment. The role requires providing technical support, resolving complex issues, collaborating with teams, and ensuring cybersecurity compliance while maintaining a focus on customer needs and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for systems, custom interfaces, and applications, including database administration (Oracle) and Windows Server administration.
• Independently analyze and resolve complex technical issues, developing innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with government and contractor technicians to perform essential system and database administration functions.
• Set up and maintain various Windows operating systems and related tools, attending change and configuration control meetings.
• Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) to support Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
• Analyze diagnostics of applications and systems to improve performance and address challenges.
• Create and maintain custom applications and processes, including web applications and scripts, ensuring version control.
• Prepare system architecture and design requirements, guiding projects to successful completion.
• Review and evaluate system designs, documentation, test plans, and procedures, identifying upgrade needs and anticipating customer requirements.
• Support cybersecurity policies and maintain the security posture of managed systems and hardware.
• Communicate complex technical issues and solutions clearly to customers and leadership, both in writing and verbally.

Requirements

• Minimum active Top-Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• High school diploma.
• DoD 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) CompTIA Security+CE certification.
• 10 years of experience providing system/database administration support, including customer application development or similar.
