About the position
The Wine and Spirits Manager at Corkdorks Wine Spirits Beer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a large retail store specializing in wine and spirits. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a positive shopping environment. The manager will also engage in promotional activities and assist with inventory management, all while fostering a friendly and efficient team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Supervises sales staff and monitors employee performance.
- Coordinates and compiles regular online publicity materials, including newsletters and promotional emails.
- Maintains operational order on the sales floor and educates patrons and employees about products.
- Spearheads special initiatives such as inventory maintenance and in-store merchandising projects.
- Assists customers in a friendly and efficient manner, encouraging staff to do the same.
- Ensures merchandise availability by maintaining relationships with product manufacturers.
Requirements
- Strong foundation of product knowledge, especially in wine.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with WordPress and large-scale email platforms like Mail Chimp.
- Previous experience in customer service and retail management (3 years required).
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
