About the position

Saint Goose, located in historic downtown Franklin, TN, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Wine and Spirits Retail Associate to join our team. This part-time position offers an opportunity to engage with customers in a hospitality-focused environment, providing them with an exceptional beverage buying experience. At Saint Goose, we believe that wine and whiskey play a significant role in celebrations and everyday moments alike. Whether it's a special occasion, a casual gathering, or a simple toast, our mission is to enhance these experiences by offering world-class wines, spirits, and personalized service. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service throughout their shopping experience. This includes providing wine recommendations tailored to individual tastes, needs, and budgets, as well as educating clients about our mission and values. You will represent the Saint Goose brand through your decorum and service, assisting with private and in-store events, classes, and tastings. Additionally, you will be involved in receiving and distributing wine, whiskey, and other merchandise, ensuring that the shop is maintained in a tidy and orderly fashion. We are looking for individuals who are eager to expand their knowledge of wine, whiskey, and other spirits, and who are available to work nights and weekends. A background in customer service, particularly in wine retail or restaurant settings, is preferred. The ideal candidate will communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members, be dedicated to customer satisfaction, and foster a warm and inviting atmosphere. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of humor are essential traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service throughout their shopping experience
• Provide wine recommendations and help customers choose the best wine for their taste, need, and budget
• Educate and excite clients about our mission and values
• Represent the Saint Goose brand through decorum and service
• Assist with private and in-store events, classes, and tastings
• Receive and distribute wine, whiskey and all other merchandise into their designated placements throughout Saint Goose
• Maintain the shop in a tidy and orderly fashion

Requirements

• Team player
• Ability to easily lift and move 50lbs (wine is heavy!)
• Must have a valid driver's license
• 1 year of experience in wine retail (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Eagerness to expand existing knowledge of wine, whiskey, and other spirits
• Background in customer service around wine (either in a restaurant or retail capacity)
