About the position
The Wine & Spirit Retail Manager at Maximum Beverage is responsible for overseeing the general operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing retail associates. This role requires strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of wine and spirits, as well as the ability to handle various operational tasks including cash control and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Co-manage the general operations of the store.
- Supervise and train retail associates.
- Perform cash control duties and back-up register operations.
- Manage wine and spirits orders and receiving.
- Handle periodic larger deliveries.
- Create social media videos to promote the store.
- Provide ad hoc coverage for other store managers when needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in retail management or supervision (retail store, wine and spirits store, or restaurant).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong supervisory and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of wine and spirits.
- Ability to lift and move 40 lbs.
Nice-to-haves
- 3 years of customer service experience (preferred).
- Experience as a retail store manager (preferred).
