About the position

The Wine Tasting Room Associate at Magnavino Cellars is responsible for providing an exceptional wine tasting experience to guests while promoting the winery's products and memberships. This part-time role requires a friendly demeanor, wine knowledge, and the ability to work flexible hours, particularly on weekends and during special events.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and providing a personalized wine buying experience for guests
• Daily operation of the tasting room, including opening and closing procedures
• Meeting and surpassing monthly sales goals of both wine sales and wine club memberships
• Working closely with the tasting room manager to facilitate VIP tastings, special activities, and private events for large and small parties

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Must be available on weekends and during special events
• Must be able to remain standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Some wine knowledge or industry experience is a must
• Outstanding communication skills
• Exceptional customer service and sales experience
• Organized and a team player
• Ability to multi-task
• Maintain and expand wine knowledge
• Participate in required staff trainings
• Understand and practice responsible hospitality, including legal parameters and liabilities for the winery and individuals serving alcohol
