About the position

This temporary position will assist the Wire Ops team for 6-8 weeks, possibly longer, focusing on wire transfer activities and providing backup for ACH operations. The role involves processing domestic and international wire transfers, ensuring quality customer service, and supporting branch personnel and customers with inquiries related to wire transfers.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming/outgoing domestic & international wires via Directline Wire automation system for branch, mortgage & cash management customers.
• Originate/verify wires using 1st TN online system or any other corresponding bank.
• Receive/post incoming internal & international wires from 1st TN.
• Monitor the Fed Account for sufficient balance purposes throughout the day to fund wires.
• Process drawdown wire requests.
• Assist with branch & customer research requests/inquiries/issues related to wires.
• Backup for performing wire system end of day shutdown.
• Assist with wire system yearly DR testing.
• Backup for the setup of Wire Cash Management customers with wire access.
• Backup for processing foreign drafts.
• Backup for handling some of Supervisor duties when absent.
• Complete in-house training required by department & bank's training program.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Preferred 1+ years of banking experience.
• Experience in handling confidential information.
• Experience in the use of database, Excel, and Word software.
